AN exciting line-up of world-renowned artists is tuning up for the Ribble Valley International Piano Week.
Leading British violinist Tasmin Little opens the festival, at the Centenaries Theatre, Stonyhurst, on Sunday, June 17, with her long-time musical partner Martin Roscoe.
Martin, one of the festival's artistic directors, appears again on Monday lunchtime with Cheshire baritone Mark Rowlinson in a programme of pastoral songs.
Kathryn Stott will perform on Tuesday, and will also interview Martin about his work and favourite music.
Wednesday sees the appearance of 21-year-old Grace Huang, and on Thursday Nelson Goerner , who was critically-acclaimed for a performance he gave at the prestigious Manchester Bridgewater Hall last year, will perform a programme of romantic music.
And on Friday, 15-year-old Czech Lukas Vondracek -- billed as a star of the future -- will appear.
Tickets for the annual event, sponsored by Yamaha, and further information can be obtained from the Music Cellar, Fox Street, Preston, or the Festival Office on 01229 861355.
