AN Atherton firm is offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of a stolen company van.
The white Ford Transit was snatched as staff at the North West Fireplace Centre were loading it at the Four Lane Ends business at 9.25am last Monday.
Witnesses saw a white man in his late 20s and scruffy in appearance drive off along Newbrook Road towards Atherton.
The vehicle, registration R982 XVU, contained tools valued at more than £1,500.
Staff member Paula Cantwell said: "This is a well-established business and for someone to do this in broad daylight is unbelievable. We were loading up at the side door when the van was driven off."
Director Simon Fenton said: "We can't believe anyone could do this. Someone was obviously watching us and took a chance. The theft has really hit our business and we're offering a reward for the van's return."
Anyone who can help should contact Leigh police or ring the company on 01204 658889.
