EWOOD chief Graeme Souness today jetted off on a special Scandinavian spying mission as he continues to scour Europe for potential transfer targets.
The globetrotting Rovers boss is due to watch a couple of targets in action for Norway's Under 21s against Belarus tonight.
And he's clearly leaving no stone unturned in his quest for new blood as he looks to build a squad capable of surviving in the Premiership.
"I'm off to Norway to watch a couple of lads playing for their Under 21s," said Souness.
"I've seen them both play before but I'm going to watch them again, although don't expect any signings to be imminent.
"This is what the job is all about -- going out and watching players.
"But just because I'm going to see these guys in action doesn't necessarily mean we're going to buy them."
Souness has said he wants to bring in four new faces this summer -- a striker, two midfielders and a defender.
One of those players -- Tugay Kerimoglu -- has already signed subject to a work permit.
But, if he can't lure his remaining top targets, he has insisted he will not sign players for the sake of it.
