THE stage is set for the Whalley Mystery Plays, dramatised bible stories being acted in the historic Abbey grounds.
A large cast from the Ribble Valley will perform new and old mystery plays recounting stories from the old and new testaments, such as Adam and Eve, Noah's flood, the life of Jesus.
'God and his Creation' will be performed on Tuesday June 12 and Thursday June 14 at 6.15pm and at 2.15pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17.
The Nativity and Passion' will be given on Wednesday June 13, Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 at 6.15pm.
The plays are directed by Margaret Smith and proceeds are for Whalley Abbey Fellowship. A ticket hot-line is available on 01200 445640 or from Clitheroe Tourist Information Centre.
