IT'S full steam ahead for Chorley pub the Royal Scot, following an £80,000 investment by owners Burtonwood Brewery.
Licensee Mark Deans said: "The new decor has made a big difference, the colours have given the pub a warm feel and although it is modern and up-to-date, we have still managed to keep the pub traditional."
The Station Road pub, which sits alongside the railway, was formerly known as the Railway.
In keeping with its locomotive theme, there are various pictures, photographs and plates from engines on display in the pub's lounge area, including a painting of the Royal Scot itself.
Mark said: "The new look's been a big hit with our regulars, both young and old, and it has also attracted new people."
