AN idea for an innovative new restaurant has helped two local entrepreneurs secure the runners up spot in a major competition.
Sam Jackson (pictured left) and Warren Sharples were both amazed when they were declared runners up in the Institute of Directors Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The Lancaster-based duo beat off thousands of other entries in the "start up " category and are now scanning the city to find suitable premises to turn their innovative idea into reality.
"We were very surprised to get as far as this because we haven't actually got the business up and running - it's still at the business plan stage," said Sam Jackson.
"They were obviously very impressed by our ideas and the quality of our business plan. We're now looking for a suitable premises to open somewhere close to the city centre."
Both Sam and Warren are keeping their "big idea" close to their chest but hope to open a restaurant soon.
