ONE hundred children from Casterton County Primary School, Burnley, took up the reins when Trigger the mechanical cantering horse paid a visit.
Trigger was accompanied by an expert riding instructor from Herd House Riding Centre, Briercliffe, as part of the Jeep-sponsored National Riding Festival.
As well as riding Trigger the youngsters took part in other equestrian related activities including rosette making and equestrian road safety. The national campaign is aimed at introducing people to horse riding. Each child taking part received a book of discount vouchers to get them started at a local approved riding centres.
