A WOMAN was left fearing for her life when a gang robbed a petrol station of £3,000.
Now police are appealing for sightings of the getaway car used in the raid on the Queen Street Filling Station, Great Harwood.
The incident took place on Sunday morning when three men and two women pulled on to the forecourt in a silver BMW.
After going in and out of the shop several times, two of the men went up to the cashier, took her to an upstairs office and forced her to hand over the takings.
Although they didn't have a weapon, police say force was used and the terrified woman was threatened several times.
She was also told not to report the incident to anyone unless she wanted to be hurt.
The BMW was later found abandoned in Manchester.
DS Pam Holgate, from Great Harwood CID, said: "We are hoping that people out getting their Sunday papers will have spotted the car leaving the scene or somewhere en-route to the motorway and can tell us which way it went.
"We would urge anyone with information to contact us."
She added: "We believe £3,000 was stolen although we are still waiting for the final total."
Anyone with any information is asked to call Great Harwood CID on 01254 3537341 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
