ORGANISERS of a fundraising walk on Sunday are promising a fun day out for all the family.
The Wishbone Orthopaedic Walk, a maximum one mile sponsored event, will be held at Witton Park, in Blackburn, in aid of orthopaedic research in Blackburn, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.
Organised by the NHS Trust, the day promises to be a fun day out for all the family.
There will be a fantasy slide, face painting and tombola for the children while adults will be kept entertained by a brass band, raffle and a range of stalls.
The event will be launched by Radio Lancashire celebrity, Sally Naden, host of the 'Happy Daft Farm' programmes.
Former orthopaedic surgery patients young and old are taking part in the walk, plus anyone who is interested in raising funds for research.
Half the money raised by the event will be available for local orthopaedic projects and the other will half go to the central fund at the Wishbone Trust to support research projects all over the country.
For further information about the Witton Park walk, contact superintendent physiotherapist Pauline McCartney on 01254 294152 or Trust business manager Janice Atkinson, on 01254 293807.
