ENVIRONMENT friendly residents in Rainford are miffed because they no longer have a bottle bank in the area.
In recent months a bottle bank had been stationed in the village allowing people to dispose of their empties.
But people living near to the bank complained about the noise leading to it to being removed from two different locations.
A spokeswoman for St Helens Council said: "A bottle bank was originally situated behind Rainford Village Hall but complaints by residents about the noise resulted in it being moved to another site outside the Eagle & Child pub.
"However, there were complaints again about the noise and it was removed.
"The council has looked at other sites but so far without success and we are still actively working to find a new site".
