DOESN'T Lee Holden (Letters, June 11) realise, after all, that horse manure makes a brilliant fertiliser for anybody's garden.
And just think, Mr Holden, if there's such a large amount of it, as you suggest, why not start off a roaring trade, shovel it up, and charge 50p a bag. I feel sure you'd have plenty of takers.
Also, could I just add, that horses being vegetarian, pose no threat whatsoever to anyone's livelihood -- in fact one could say their manure is very biodegradable indeed.
Seriously though, come on Mr Holden, get a life. There are a lot more issues to worry about in life, surely, than a pile of horse manure.
MISS A M ROBINSON, Calder Avenue, Billington.
