TWO would-be robbers got the fright of their lives when their intended victim pulled a gun on them.
But the 18-year-old victim was later arrested by police and cautioned for a firearms offence.
The incident happened on Saturday evening (June 16) when two Asian men boarded a bus in Derby Street, Bury, and threatened to rob the teenager as he sat on the top floor of the double decker bus.
According to police, the man, who is from Rochdale, pulled an air-pistol from his pocket.
Both offenders fled and the teenager chased but he was unable to catch them.
The bus driver called the police, who arrested the gunman at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Heywood said: "People cannot go around with offensive weapons, even in self-defence."
