TWENTY Year 6 pupils at Coates Lane county primary school, Barnoldswick, created their own Barlick Bugs for gala day.
They spent a day working with community artist Joy Evans who helped them to create four large bug flags.
Headteacher Sue Holloway said: "The twenty pupils designed their own individual bugs.
"Each of the four groups then chose one to be painted on to a large cloth flag which will become part of the town gala ,now postponed until August, because of the foot and mouth situation."
Lauren Thompson, 11, is pictured working on one of the designs.
