ONE hundred local youngsters are expected to take part in a sponsored trials cycle ride in Victory Park, Barnoldswick, on Sunday.
The youngsters, who have organised the event themselves, are trying to raise money to provide a permanent wheels park.
It follows a public consultation exercise about the future of the park and its facilities.
West Craven Committee, in partnership with clubs including the Warriors, Barlick United, the cricket club and Town Council are asking the public what it wants to see.
Local councillor David Whipp said: "We aim to develop it with new facilities. When we had a public meeting a few weeks ago about 40 local youngsters turned up and put forward the idea of a wheels park."
After another meeting with them it was decided to do a "Challenge Anneka" exercise to get it up and running as soon as possible.
Coun Whipp added: "The youngsters have organised this sponsored event and it is anticipated more than 100 will take part. All will receive a Victory Park badge and those who get sponsorship of £25 or more will be given a Victory Park Wheelie Challenge T-shirt."
Chairman of the West Craven Committee, Coun Margaret Bell, has agreed to do an hour's cycling at the event.
Coun Whipp added: "After this event we hope to get plans drawn up and then challenge local people and local businesses to roll up their sleeves and to get stuck in in creating a wheelie park.
"This way we hope we hope to get it going quickly rather than to take three years over a costly scheme by which time the youngsters now involved could have their driving licences and be going around in cars."
Sunday's event starts at 10am.
