A SMALL company run from the home of businesswoman Sylvia Hopwood is in line for a top internet award. Recycleworks -- which sells compost equipment -- has been shortlisted for the North West E-Commerce Awards which carries a £5,000 first prize.
Sylvia started her environmentally-friendly business in Chatburn in 1995, encouraging gardeners and home-owners to recycle organic waste through composting.
Three years ago, Sylvia launched her first website on the internet and began to realise the potential of electronic commerce.
"We have had people ringing us up from all over the world," she said. "Selling over the internet is generating a lot of inquiries for our products."
