A GROUP of talented youngsters are hoping kindhearted folk will come to their rescue as they put the finishing touches to their first open air performance.
Actors and actresses at Darwen Library Theatre are due to stage J R R Tolkein's 'The Hobbit' next month, but are still looking for a few props for their rehearsals.
The showing will take place in Bold Venture Park on Sunday, July 22, as the story unfolds in front of an audience that will have to follow the cast around the site.
Today members appealed for anyone who may have the following items to let them borrow them for the big event.
They need a large ornate key, two swords, an ocarina, a winged back chair and any other bizarre domestic implements such as kitchen utensils.
