NORTH End have lined-up an exciting pre-season fixture list as they look to continue their success in Division One next season.

The pick of these games are against Champions League semi-finalists Leeds and Italy Serie A side Verona.

The match against the Italian side is Lee Cartwright's testamonial and is sure to attract a big crowd.

The winger has been at Deepdale for ten years and is still one of the team's key players.

North End will also face Premiership giants Everton and hold a training camp in Germany and Austria, where they are hoping to arrange a couple of games agianst local opposition.

Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: "The fact that we can attract sides of the stature of Leeds, Verona and Everton to Deepdale shows just how far the club have come.

"We play good, attractive football and it will be intersting to see how we fare against three top-quality sides.

"The game against Verona should be a great evening.

"Lee Cartwright has been a fantastic servant to this club and for his testamonial to be held against a team who currently play in the best league in the world is wonderful.

"It's a great chance for fans to come and pay tribute to Lee, as well as watching some real international stars in action."
