THE Centurions' proposed new stand is still on schedule for a start later in the summer.
Hilton Park officials have now got the majority of funding in place for the £750,000 project at the Glebe Street end of the ground.
Centurions' director Steve Grainey said this week that once all the paperwork and funding was complete, work could start.
"We're more than 90 per cent of the way now, but because grant funding is coming from several sources, it all takes time. But I'm confident that building will start later in the summer."
Other work on the ground is well underway with 120 new safety barriers being installed with plans in the pipeline for new turnstiles, toilet facilities and extra seating.
Within the next five years the club plans to replicate the Glebe Street stand with one at the Asda end of the ground and revamp the Supporters' Stand with improved viewing and a cantilever roof.
