LEIGH'S proud unbeaten home record goes on the line on Sunday.

It's 21 games and almost 15 months since the Centurions were last beaten at Hilton Park but top four contenders Featherstone Rovers will put that record to the test.

While Leigh have quickly put behind them the disappointment of their defeat at Rochdale, they know they need to pick up their form.

"That's fair comment," admitted head coach Paul Terzis. "But I know, and the players know, that the Rochdale was only a blip, a hiccup. The more wins you have, the closer you are to a defeat.

Responded

"The players have responded absolutely magnificently to the defeat. They've brushed the disappointment aside very quickly and have moved on. We look forward at this club, not dwell on the past. We can't change the past, only affect the future.

"We're very proud of the record in our own backyard and we aim to keep it going. We've got the satisfaction of knowing that all our remaining games - except the Grand Final - are at Hilton Park. That's something we're looking forward to."

Terzis will need to make changes to Sunday's squad with Willie Swann and Phil Kendrick on the casualty list as well as John Duffy.

Swann has chipped a bone in his finger while Kendrick has a swollen ankle. Both are rated as likely non-starters.

But the good news is that international back rower Chris Morley has recovered from an ankle injury and will be back.

"It's a big game for Featherstone as well as us," Terzis adds. "The depth of their squad is not great but they have a couple of class players in Jamie Rooney and Richard Chapman and their forwards are very under-rated."
