A PROMINENT building in the centre of Todmorden is to be demolished to make way for a garden area, which is being paid for by an anonymous donor.
Members of Todmorden Town Council's development committee gave approval for the Barclays Bank premises at 1 Burnley Road to be demolished and the site to be landscaped, with the provision of a seating area.
The plans for the redevelopment will now go forward to Calderdale Metro Council for approval.
