BAE Systems has said the production of the Eurofighter has passed three major milestones.
The plant in Warton, Preston, is responsible for part of the production of the advanced aircraft, currently being tested in Southern Sardinia.
The Eurofighter DA7, one of the Italian-based aircraft being used to test development on the project, has completed a series of weapons tests at Sardinia's Decimomannu flight range.
The tests are part of a major programme of tests to check the safety of the Eurofighter's capabilities.
So far three different missiles have been launched from the aicraft in the tests, the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, the Air Intercept Missile and the Advanced Short-Range to Air Missile.
