A LACK of communication has been blamed for industrial action at BAE System's Warton site.
Workers on the Tornado programme at the plant near Preston stopped production for an hour last Thursday after walking out of the factory.
Workers have been worried about possible job cuts over the last few months. BAE is looking at reducing costs at its factories and this could mean also reducing the workforce.
The walk-out happened towards the end of the shift on Thursday and just two days before the Paris air show, where BAE systems hoped to win lucrative business deals.
A spokesman for BAE said: "The walk-out was spontaneous action, and wasn't planned.
"Any breakdown in communication is regrettable, but the situation is now back to normal."
