TWO teenagers appeared at a special Saturday remand court charged with a double attack which left 32-year-old Andrew Myerscough fighting for his life.
The boys, aged 16 and 15, and both from Accrington, are charged with wounding Mr Myerscough with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm during an attack in Jacob Street, Accrington, on Wednesday night.
They are charged with a further offence of wounding when, it is alleged, they returned to the alley where Mr Myerscough had been left in a semi-conscious state and kicked him, gouged his back with a broken bottle and urinated on him.
Margaret Duckworth, prosecuting at Blackburn magistrates, applied for both boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to be remanded in custody pending their appearance before Hyndburn youth court tomorrow.
