A NEW website is to launched by the East Lancashire Business Environment Association to help spread the message that going green can save money.
The website -- www.EastLancashireBEA.co .uk -- will go live on Wednesday , will provide its 400 members with information on a wide range of environmentally-friendly services.
BEA manager Mick Smith said many businesses did not realise that making environmental improvements could produce significant savings.
A group of East Lancashire companies was now saving £200,000 per year after taking part in a sustainable water project.
Based at Groundwork Blackburn's offices at Nova Scotia Wharf, the association has satellite offices in Rossendale, Burnley and Pendle and will be shortly opening in Hyndburn.
Among the services available are environmental reviews, seminars on environmental health and safety issues and advice on green grants and waste reduction.
