NINE YEAR OLD Michelle Kight calls herself a bookworm and she's not far wrong having read 85 books to earn a special award.
Michelle, from Bacup, is in year four at Sharneyford Primary School in Bacup.
Children's librarian for Rossendale and Hyndburn Jane Wood presented Michelle with the award at the school and her mother, grandmother, aunt and uncle attended the ceremony.
She has become one of only 14 children in Rossendale and Hyndburn to receive the gold award in the last year.
She read ten books to get her bronze, 25 for her silver and 50 for the gold award. She also has to review each book.
Besides reading and being a member of the school library club, She also enjoys horse riding.
