A COMMUNITY dog walking event will be held on Saturdayas part of an artist's work in the village of Summerseat.
Four artists have been working in the picturesque community in recent months as part of a project funded through the Irwell Sculpture Trail.
From an on-going topiary competition, a house sitting service and raffling off an edible sculpture, the scheme has been attracting plenty of attention.
Now as part of her becoming local project artist Louise Brookes, who can been offering a dog walking service to residents in the village, is planning to stage a community dog walk event.
Louise said: "The dog walk is not just aimed at locals. In fact it is an ideal opportunity for those who live outside the village to come and have a look around.
"So just come along, even if you do not have a pet, enjoy a guided walk around points of interest in Summerseat and even receive a commemorative photo of the occasion."
The walk will begin at 2pm from the car park at the Waterside Inn and will take no longer than 90 minutes.
