THE headteacher of a Ramsbottom primary school suspended amid allegations of exam irregularities has taken four weeks sick leave.
Mr Mike Duce of Peel Brow Primary School was asked to leave the school at the end of last month after concerns were raised about irregularities in Standard Attainment Tests.
Although the nature of the allegations being investigating by the Local Education Authority (LEA) are at this stage still unclear, dozens of parents have handed in a petition to the school's governing body demanding his reinstatement.
Investigations are continuing into Mr Bernard Emblem, headteacher of Millwood Special School in Bury, who was suspended after alleged misuse of computer equipment.
The LEA is investigating alleged "management irregularities" concerning school IT equipment.
