TWO possible contenders for the next Survivor series have returned from a youth leadership course at Castle Head Outdoor Pursuits Centre.
Kelly Banks, of Queen Street, Clayton-le-Moors and Becky Moore, of Delph Mount, Great Harwood, were sponsored by the Great Harwood and Rishton Rotary Club and the Church and Oswaldtwistle Rotary Club.
They spent five days at the centre near Grange Over Sands for training in self-confidence and leadership which involved spending an hour alone in the woods at night, working in teams to build a raft to paddle down the river and learning first aid skills.
Kelly, 18, and Becky, 17, were also dropped off at the edge of a lake and left to find their own way back to the centre without using any footpaths.
This should have taken hour but they returned four hours later.
After the five days both teenagers fell asleep in the car and slept the whole way home.
