A petition, in the shape of a boot treadprint, called for customers at Manic Organics to support local producers and markets , ensure a fair deal for farmers, and stop GM crops from being planted.
Other issues were also raised and supporters signed both the boot print, to be used in campaigns by Friends of the Earth, and postcards which will be sent to prime minister Tony Blair. As well as over 50 signatures more than 20 green children's boot prints made by young supporters of the petition.
