I'm writing as regards to an article I read in the Telegraph on Tuesday the 26th June, regarding Hyndburn District council considering a ban on the consumption of Alcohol in public places.
I think it would be more significant to ban SMOKING in public places than alcohol.
I was walking in the indoor arcade in Blackburn on 26th June with my young daughter and wife, and when we got home our clothes where repugnant with the smell of stale Tobacco.
Needless to say we had to throw all our clothes into the washer, I don't think my family or other members of the public should have to endure the smell and damage caused by other people's smoking!
Perhaps the council should consider this?
