Can anybody tell us where the so-called Rock of Gibraltar stood in the Parr area and perhaps explain what this local feature actually was?
The puzzler comes from George McNicholas of Crawford Street, Clock Face, who adds a couple of supplementary 'scratters of a medical nature.
What industrial complaints were commonly referred to as 'phossy-jaw' and 'kissing the shuttle'?
