THIS week is National Vegetarian Week and book publishers Foulsham have sent the Lancashire Evening Telegraph three cookery books containing dozens of meat-free meals.
Food scares and animal welfare issues have resulted in thousands of British people cutting down on meat or boycotting it altogether. These books contain a wide selection of recipes for people wondering how to add more variety to their diet.
The Classic 1,000 Vegetarian Recipes book by Carolyn Humphries retails at £5.99, Simply The Best Vegetarian Barbecue Recipes by Wendy Hobson is £4.99 and Real Food For Vegetarians by Carol Palmer costs £3.99.
All are available from W H Smith and all good book stores.
