WORLD superbiker Carl Fogarty rode into town to launch a global first for the Bury area -- a superfast Internet service.
The four-times world champion launched the new broadband Internet service by cable giant ntl.
From Monday, Bolton and Bury people will join the rest of the North-west in leading Britain into the high-speed Internet push.
An ntl spokeswoman said: "The company has been under pressure to come up with a faster system and this is their answer.
"Bolton and Bury people will be among the first to use this latest technology. We wanted Carl to launch it because we needed a superfast superstar for a superfast system."
