British-born Charles Booth, whose name is as familiar as Max Factor in the USA and Canada, was in town to meet up with his nephew, Richard Scott.
Richard (28) is the business adviser for Wax Hair Design on Stand Lane, which is run by his partner, Deborah Williams.
His famous uncle was visiting to launch his new range of LaCoupe haircare products in this country and Richard certainly has a head for business as he has become the sole UK distributor.
"I'm returning a favour, really. I love Richard's family and every week for the last 25 years his father has recorded The Archers for me and posted it to my home in America," said the dapper Mr Booth who introduced the American market to hair mousse in the early 1980s.
The multi-millionaire, who worked alongside Vidal Sassoon in London in the swinging sixties, no longer cuts hair himself and instead is focusing all his creative talents on his hair products.
