A MORECAMBE man is facing up to the task of tidying up his mother's back yard after vandals struck for the fifth time.

Kevin Robertshaw is in the process of trying to sell the house at Granville Road, Morecambe.

But, on Sunday night or Monday morning, thugs destroyed plant pots and tore cladding off a wall.

"Somebody threw a full tree trunk into the yard last time it happened," said Mr Robertshaw: "You wouldn't believe it, it's disgraceful.

"If my mother saw this, I don't know what she would do. We have agreed to sell the property, but until that happens we still have responsibility for it. Morecambe is getting terrible. I get really annoyed with people who don't have any respect. Why can't they just leave us alone?"

Mr Robertshaw has reported the incident to police.
