A CHILDREN'S nursery will hopefully re-open on Monday after a contamination alert.
Princess Street nursery, in Gilbert Street, Hindley, was closed yesterday and today after some building material -- possibly contaminated -- was discovered at a nearby housing site.
The Environment Agency advised the nursery, which caters for 120 children, to close as a precaution while investigations take place.
The unidentified material was found on Wednesday evening on the site of the former Borsdane Brook School off Princess Street and is now being analysed.
