GREENFINGERED locals are being given the opportunity to indulge their passion while raising money for a good cause.
ChildLine is holding an open garden event between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday, July 8, in order to help ChildLine North West answer more calls from people in danger or distress.
Visitors to 7 Marmion Close, Lowton, are in for a beautiful surprise in one of the 12 wonder gardens that the charity has secured in the area for viewing during the summer.
Admission is £1.50 for adults and free for children, with all proceeds going directly to ChildLine.
ChildLine North West fund-raising manager Melanie Horton said: "Everyday, 700 attempted calls are made to ChildLine North West, but sadly, lack of funds means that only one third of these can currently be answered."
