MOTOR mechanic Andy Brown scooped the prestigious Best Car in Show award with his stunning 42-year-old Vauxhall at a top classic car gathering.
Andy, from Atherton, beat-off stiff competition from more than 2,000 entrants to take top award with his British-made beauty, a 1959 Vauxhall PA Cresta, at the Classic Car Spectacular at Tatton Park, Knutsford.
Proud of his oldie, which has amazingly only covered 26,000 miles from new, Andy said: "I purchased the car 5 years ago from its previous owner who had locked it away for 24 years. I stripped and rebuilt it to the pristine condition it is now in."
Believed to be one of only ten of its kind still in existence, Andy's Cresta is resplendent in a two tone finish of royal glow/imperial ivory. : Andy Brown with his pristine classic Vauxhall and Number One trophy (NON)
