YEARS of hard work has brought Hindley Green Community Primary School an Investors in People award.
The school began to show an interest in the scheme four years ago and has been striving to meet the national standard ever since.
The assessment in March recognised the school's strong commitment to people development, as well as the equality of opportunity for all staff and the school's clear plans and achievable targets.
Headteacher Sue Bray said: "We have worked long and hard to achieve this award, which reflects the dedication and commitment shown by all our staff."
This national award recognises the effectiveness of the staff training in terms of benefiting the children.
Staff at the school are very proud of their achievement.
Deputy head Les Borritt said: "We are highly delighted with the award and we already see the benefits of the specific training."
Chairman of governors, Coun Stuart Shaw, added: "I am delighted that the school has achieved Investors in People status and I am proud to be associated with the school and its staff."
