A JUNIOR school's new state-of-the-art computer suite was officially opened this week - after a term of use.
The event was organised to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to the success of the project.
Headteacher at Newchurch CP, Culcheth, Maureen Cain said: "Words cannot express how thrilled we are with this latest development to our school.
"This now puts us at the forefront of the provision of educational opportunities for local children.
"We have a self-contained, well-equipped computer room, which is specifically dedicated to teaching our 193 children information and communication technology, giving them the best chance of preparing themselves for the future.
"Every single child in school will use the suite on a regular basis. We are indebted to all who contributed so generously to the funding of the project. There are a number of local companies and organisations who have made significant donations.
"Equally, we are indebted to the parents and friends of the school who have given donations and enthusiastically joined in numerous fund-raising events," she said.
Thanks go to Matthew Bent, marketing manager of Bents Garden Centre, Glazebury, who performed the opening ceremony and gave a significant donation, Peter Nattress, UKEA head of safety, Risley, and Culcheth Lions.
The event was also attended by representatives from the education department, governors, the architects and builder, parents and friends.
