THE dangers of the sun in causing skin cancer have been highlighted as we 'suffer' the hottest, muggiest days of the year.
I was reading an article on the aging effects of the big yellow dot which said skin ages in two ways, one governed by genes and the other by external elements such as smoking, pollution, stress and the sun.
Of these, the sun is most damaging.
A doctor said if people want to know how their skin could look without the effects of the sun, just look at the skin on your buttocks which are rarely exposed to sunlight.
What a sight that would be. We don't all want a face like PC Ventris in Heartbeat!
The sunscreen sellers must be raking it in - and if not, they should be if we silly sunworshippers had any sense.
