THE Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Blackburn, held an open day to celebrate its reopening after refurbishments.
The 10-year-old church had been closed for three months while it was recarpeted, redecorated and had the woodwork redone. Parishioners worshipped in Darwen Vale High School while the work was being done.
But the doors have now been reopened and as a celebration visitors were able to view displays put together by various groups within the church including a special display about the Preston England Temple in Chorley.
