RESIDENTS in the Queen's Park area of Blackburn have given the council a wish-list of improvements in their community.
They have been visiting Audley Community Centre, Chester Street, all week to post their suggestions for potential projects as part of a Blackburn with Darwen Council move identify improvement areas.
This follows an exhibition of ideas from the council at the centre last Saturday. Each day this week they have held workshops for people to comment on the ideas.
And there have been 100 responses on issues like housing renewal, new housing, use of open spaces, and road and community safety.
Chris Coldwell, the council's principal project co-ordination and management officer , said: "We are holding this event to find out what local residents would like us to include in future developments in the Queen's Park area.
"At the end of this exercise we will draw up a master plan that will enable us to begin to give these residents what they've asked for."
