SHOPPERS in Nelson will be rewarded for spending their money locally through a new loyalty scheme.
The scheme will be launched on Monday at the Admiral Shopping Centre.
Shoppers will be given a loyalty card on which they have to get 18 stamps from any of the 35 stalls on the market. One purchase per day from each of the stalls is allowed.
Once the card is complete, shoppers must answer a very simple question on the card and then leave it with one of the traders so that it can be entered into a monthly draw.
The first month's prize will be a colour television.
Iain Wharton, manager of the Admiral's Market Place, said: "This initiative is designed to reward our loyal shoppers."
Winners will be contacted directly and posted on the Loyalty Scheme board inside the Leeds Road entrance of the market.
