RESIDENTS living near the village's Rushton Street playground could be asked to decide whether it should be improved or closed down.
Members of the council's West Craven Committee are faced with five options of how to deal with the site at Rushton Avenue, which is split into a playground with play equipment, a large grass area to the south of the Wentcliffe Drive garage site and a small grass area to the west of garage site, which used to house a junior play area of concrete pipes and tunnels.
The options are to close the site, to revitalise the playground with new equipment, fencing, bins and seating, to fence off the large area, or to fence of the current playground.
