Eighteen month old Samuel James Lambert escaped with a fractured finger in a car accident in Sycamore Avenue, Burnley, near the junction with Teddar Avenue.
The incident involved a Skoda Favorit driven by Susan Smits, 30, of Lowerhouse Lane.
Samuel was allowed home to Alexander Grove after treatment at Burnley General Hospital.
