ENVIRONMENTAL projects undertaken by Stacksteads Riverside Park Group have received a welcome £300 boost from the Mayor of Rossendale's charity fund.
During the Mayoral year of Coun David Hancock and his wife Denise, more than £9,000 was raised for charity and local groups and individuals were invited to write in to say why they wanted a slice.
Chairman of SRPG Coun Michael McShea, said: "We are most grateful to David and Denise. While they were Mayor and Mayoress they were very supportive of out group and were really appreciate this money.
