CHILDREN at Audley Infants School, Queen's Park Road, Blackburn got their creative juices flowing during the Free For Art Week.
Pupils were treated to a play about science, art and history by the Floating Point Science Theatre and shown how to make puppets by local puppeteer John Ibbotson. They also made 100 hats for the Blackburn with Darwen Council Mardi Gras and painted pebbles for a new path to be built at the school. Activities included painting, clay modelling, art, collage making and drama.
Alison Spooner, school music coordinator, who organised the event, she said: "We decided we needed to be more creative, so for this week we abandoned the normal timetable and the children did art, music and drama."
