A SERVICE will take place at the crematorium in Pleasington this Sunday for bereaved people to remember loved ones who have died in the previous year.
A marquee will be set up on the grounds to seat several hundred people from all denominations.
The service will begin at 3pm and is designed to give the congregation hope and comfort.
The service has become an annual event over the past few years.
The Mayor of Blackburn, Councillor John Williams, will attend, along with a church leaders.
The Rev John Cree, of Immanuel Parish Church, Feniscowles, is helping organise the service.
He said: "Bereavement is a journey and in the past we have found that this service can help the process. It is open to people from all denominations.
The crematorium will be opened afterwards for anyone who wants to pay their respects to loved ones."
Everybody is welcome to attend the service.
