POLICE called to a disturbance in Clitheroe town centre found a large crowd gathered and saw Gary Bolton shouting at someone to come out of a house in Wellgate and "have a go."
Blackburn magistrates heard that when someone came to the door of the house Bolton lunged forward and had to be restrained by officers who arrested him after a struggle.
Bolton, 18, of Whittle Close, Clitheroe, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and was fined £75 with £35 costs.
Paul Garner, defending, said the incident took place at around midnight and Bolton, a part time barman, had been drinking since 10.30am.
"He was extremely drunk and can't remember why he was arguing with this other man," said Mr Garner. "For his trouble he spent a night in the cells."
